For our Finance Team we are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Assistant Controller with a specific focus on debtor management. What is the job about?
As Assistant Controller at Fabienne Chapot you will have a specific focus on debtor management. You will work closely with the Sales and Operations teams, as well as with our sales agents and debt collection agencies. You will oversee the whole order-to-cash process, from order intake to the payment and, in case of a missing payment, contacting the client and/or handing over the case to our debt collection agency. Our wholesale clients are all over Europe.

You will work with our ERP system (It’s Perfect) and bookkeeping system (Exact Online) to ensure timely and accurate invoicing to our clients. You will book bank transactions and will ensure there is an up-to-date overview of our debtors. A good relationship with the client is vitally important, you communicate with them in a friendly but firm manner.

Furthermore you assist in all aspects of our Finance operations. To name a few: ensure correct turnover accounting, booking of various financial transactions and being part of our month end close
routine. You will be encouraged to seek and implement further improvements. You will report into the Manager Financial Control.

We are looking for someone with the following competencies:

What will you do?

• Invoicing (business-to-business) from our ERP system (It’s Perfect)
• Debtor management and accounting in our bookkeeping system (Exact Online)
• Keeping track of incoming payments and work closely with our debt collection agency in case of missing/late payments
• Booking of bank transactions in our bookkeeping system
• Booking of turnover for various sales channels (wholesale, e-commerce, marketplaces)
• Contributing to our month and year end close
• All round finance support

What do we ask from you?

• 0-5 years working experience, HBO/Bachelor degree or similar level
• Good level of English (written and spoken), Dutch would be an advantage
• Well-developed experience and skillset with MS Excel (formula’s, pivot tables)
• Good basic knowledge on accounting, balance sheet and profit and loss statements
• Experience with a bookkeeping system, especially Exact Online, is an advantage

What will you do?

• You know better than anyone what it takes to create and develop the best collection for Fabienne Chapot. You are responsible for creating, managing and owning your product categories from initial concept to final product. You will be end responsible for the product categories denim, outerwear and tailored.
• You work closely with our design team and you jointly take on the sourcing of materials and product at the right supplier. You are responsible for the development and execution of the sustainability strategy that we set and keen to push the boundaries for more responsible product.
• You are responsible for building up and keeping the supplier relations warm, but also bring in new ideas where opportunities arise.
  

What do we ask from you?

• 5-8 years relevant experience in product development and production.
• A Bachelor / Master study in Fashion Management.
• Knowledge of (sustainable) materials, sourcing and costing of product.
• Knowledge of product engineering, production processes and critical.
• Strong negotiation skills and understanding of different working cultures.
• Able to manage multiple product categories and working in a fast-paced
  environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English.
• You are available at least 4 days a week to work as part of the team.
• The desire to work in a fast-growing environment where flexibility is key.
• A hands-on mentality and always on the lookout for opportunities.
• You have a driven mindset, can work independently and take ownership of
  your work;
• You have an optimistic “glass half full” mindset.
