Why and on what legal basis do we collect your personal data?

The reason we use your personal data is because of the contractual agreements between you and Fabienne Chapot. We use your personal data to manage your online purchases from Fabienne Chapot, process your orders and returns via our online services and inform you about the delivery status or any problem in relation to the delivery of the items you have ordered. We also use your personal data to manage your payments, to handle complaints and warranty cases for products and to be able to identify you and confirm your address with external partners.

We can also use your data if we have a ‘legitimate interest’ in doing so. This means that we want to provide all our customers with the optimal personal service. We always take your privacy into account in this context. We may also have a statutory obligation to use your data, if we suspect fraud, for instance. And in other cases, you yourself have given us consent to use your data, as is the case when you sign up for the newsletter.

Special and/or sensitive personal data that we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data on website visitors under the age of 16, unless they have permission from a parent or guardian. We cannot check whether a visitor is above the age of 16, however. In the exceptional case that customer data is transferred to countries outside the European Union, we make sure that your privacy is still appropriately protected. This has been officially determined for a number of countries. Some US-based parties have registered under the Privacy Shield, which provides adequate protection.

Fabienne Chapot takes the protection of your data seriously and implements appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised amendment. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of abuse, please contact our Data Protection Customer Service at dataprotection@fabiennechapot.com.
