People Operations Officer

About Fabienne Chapot

Our story began in 2006, when self-made entrepreneur Fabienne Chapot founded her namesake brand in Amsterdam — uninspired by the bland palette of the market and driven to shake things up with fresh pops of colour and hand-painted prints. That ambition, courage and positive attitude turned into Fabienne Chapot as we know it today: a storytelling brand at heart, where feminine pieces are made to elevate the everyday and finished with signature embellishments and a personal touch that makes every piece unmistakably ours. Join us, and you become part of that same outspoken, passionate and optimistic energy — creating statement pieces that empower women everywhere.

As a certified B Corp™, we blend high-energy, unapologetic style with a deeply responsible heart. Female empowerment, diversity, and transparency are embedded in our DNA - from our supply chain to the vibrant culture across our headquarters in Amsterdam and our brand boutiques. We dream big, celebrate individuality, and spread positivity in everything we touch. At Fabienne Chapot we celebrate all forms of identity, love, and uniqueness - because the more colorful and diverse our world is, the more beautiful it becomes.

Your Role

As our Facility & Retail Operations Specialist, you are the energetic driving force and operational go-to person for all our retail boutiques. You don't wait around for instructions; you take full ownership of running our physical spaces and facility processes. You naturally spot what needs to be done before anyone else does, work with complete autonomy, and drive things to completion.

Whether managing facilities, troubleshooting a tech issue, negotiating energy vendor contracts, or collecting waste management data for our CSR reports - you take accountability from A to Z. You bring sharp thinking combined with a hands-on approach, a passion for hospitality, and the drive to create an inspiring, efficient, safe, and sustainable work environment for everyone.

Key Responsibilities

1. Work Environment & Maintenance

  • Positive Work Environment: Partner directly with Boutique Managers to ensure a safe, inspiring, and enjoyable work environment across our retail stores. You proactively support our retail teams on a facility level, so they can focus on delivering the ultimate brand experience.

  • Daily Operations: Act as the central go-to person for day-to-day facility queries, preventive maintenance, and urgent technical issues across all retail boutiques.

  • Maintenance: Coordinate directly with property managers, contractors, and service technicians for inspections, maintenance contracts, and store/office repairs.

  • Health & Safety Compliance: Oversee health & safety protocols (BHV), risk assessments, and mandatory safety inspections across locations.

  • HQ Operational Back-up: Flexibly assist with day-to-day office hospitality, catering logistics, and HQ operational support whenever needed to ensure a seamless workflow.

2. Vendor Contracts & CSR Data

  • Vendor & Contract Management: Proactively oversee, evaluate, and renegotiate supplier contracts (e.g., energy providers, waste management, cleaning services, office/retail operational supplies) to secure optimal rates and sustainable terms.

  • CSR Metrics & B Corp Reporting: Gather operational facility metrics—such as waste streams, water usage, and energy consumption—to support our B Corp reporting and sustainability commitments.

  • Operational Procurement: Manage inventory and purchasing for essential store/office supplies and operational packaging materials.

3. IT Support & Logistics

  • First-Line IT & POS Coordination: Assist retail stores and HQ staff with everyday tech queries, hardware setups, Wi-Fi connectivity, and basic POS system support.

  • Onboarding Setup: Partner with IT to ensure tech hardware, accounts, and workstations are ready for new joiners on day one.

  • IT Partner Liaison: Act as the primary link with our external IT managed service provider for escalation of complex technical infrastructure issues.

Who You Are

  • Ownership & Autonomy: You are proactive and thrive working independently. You take initiative, accountability, and own outcomes from start to finish.

  • High-Energy Doer: An energetic problem-solver who is as comfortable taking lead on vendor contracts as rolling up your sleeves on the floor.

  • Flexible Background: We welcome diverse profiles! Whether you are a bright working student looking to gain hands-on experience or an experienced professional seeking a flexible 3–4 day workweek—attitude, ownership, and drive are what count most!

  • Inclusive Mindset: You embody our JEDI values, actively foster a queer friendly and safe environment, and ensure everyone feels seen, respected, and welcomed.

  • Education Level: Higher professional education (HBO / Bachelor level) - a do-er with brain power!

  • Hands-on Mentality: You don't hesitate to handle practical tasks yourself, while always maintaining a clear view of the bigger picture.

  • IT Affinity: Comfortable with technology and eager to resolve basic IT and POS problems independently.

  • Strong Communicator: Welcoming, energetic, and fluent in both Dutch and English.
