Conscious choice
We operate in a business with a huge imprint on our environment. We feel responsible and want to do better. We believe that even the smallest step counts, as long as there is progress.
Started from a bottle, now it's here!
The majority of our polyester items are made of ‘RPET’, made from recycled PET bottles. RPET fabrics, compared with regular polyester fabrics, have a 70% lower energy consumption, 86% lower water consumption and a 75% lower carbon footprint. Inside the garments you can see how many bottles we recycled to make the item. For our RPET production we collaborate with Waste2Wear, proven experts in the field of recycling.
Next to the use of RPET we banned non-animal friendly products like real fur, angora, mohair, exotic skins and real down feathers. Our wool (blend) pullovers are knitted from certified mulesing-free yarns. We also use organic cotton, which without the use of chemical fertilisers is less harmful for the soil. Furtheremore we are currently looking at ways to make more sustainable choices when it comes to using 100% viscose.
