Organic Cotton

Just like you, we love our mother earth. There’s no denying that the fashion industry leaves a huge imprint on our world. At Fabienne Chapot we are aware of this, which is why we undertake steps to decrease our imprint. It is a step-by-step process, but we believe that even the smallest step counts, as long as there is progress.

The amounts of water and chemicals used by our industry and the waste that’s caused are substantial. This is why we are actively trying to produce our products in a more sustainable way. Our brand is a member of the Waste2Wear group. This is a group that finds solutions for brands, industries, and countries working together and coming up with innovative ideas. In collaboration with Waste2Wear we were able to realise the use of organic cotton. All our organic cotton items are GOTS certified. Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is an international standard for organic clothing and textiles. The main advantages of GOTS certified organic cotton are:

1. No chemicals or pesticides are used.
2. Soil depletion is prevented by using crop rotation. 
3. Less water consumption.

Some of our most-loved organic cotton styles include the Joanne T-Shirt, Chapot T-Shirt and the Meike Sweater. We are trying to extend our use of organic cotton and plan to create more fabulous styles with this more sustainable fabric.
